Our History
Welcome to the North County Rangers Baseball Club
Founded in 2024 by John Mercado, the North County Rangers — a new, dynamic force in San Diego's North County baseball community. Built on passion, purpose, and performance, the Rangers are more than just a team — we are a family united by one core belief:
"ONE VISION. ONE TEAM. ONE FIGHT."
And we mean it.
We play as a team, we fight as a team, and we win as a team.
The North County Rangers Baseball Club is a program of opportunity — where athletes are given the platform to grow, compete, and succeed. Our mission is to provide every player with elite-level baseball instruction rooted in strong fundamentals, a deep understanding of the game, and consistent skill development. Whether you're refining the basics or chasing the next level, our focus is always on progress.
But we don’t stop at the field.
We believe greatness starts with discipline, responsibility, and heart — both on and off the diamond. Rangers are expected to bring the same hard work and focus to their schoolwork as they do to the game. We are building athletes, yes — but more importantly, we are developing leaders.

The North County Rangers will prepare and develop young baseball players to have integrity, honesty and loyalty within their peers and the community.
Our Program
The North County Rangers currently offer three different divisions to our club players, of all skill levels. MINORS, Ages (8-9U) MAJORS, Ages (10-11U), and SENIORS, Ages (12U). As well as a 13U, 14U & 15U ELITE ONLY. Our program is designed to help our club players improve their skills, build confidence, and have fun while having the travel ball experience and competition.
North County Rangers 13U, 14U & 15U Elite Teams
Our 13U, 14U, and 15U Rangers Elite teams are the most competitive teams in our organization and represent the Rangers at the highest level of play. This is where standards are high and expectations are non-negotiable. Players are held fully accountable for their effort, preparation, attitude, and performance on and off the field. Every rep is earned, nothing is given, and complacency is not accepted.
The Elite level is for athletes who want to be pushed, coached hard, and challenged every single day. Practices are intense, competition is constant, and players are expected to compete for their spot. This team demands discipline, commitment, and a relentless work ethic. If you want to be comfortable, this isn’t the place. If you want to be better, to compete against the best, and to represent the Rangers with pride and toughness—this is where you belong.
*MEMBERSHIP FEE covers: Hat, Game Jersey, Practice Jersey, Team Insurance.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE $250.00
All participants are required to pay a one-time annual membership fee of $250, valid for 12 months from the date of registration.
MINORS (8-9U) Monthly $115.00
MAJORS (10-11U) Monthly $175.00
SENIORS (12U) Monthly $205.00
13U RANGERS ELITE TEAM $235.00
14U RANGERS ELITE TEAM $235.00
15U RANGERS ELITE TEAM $235.00
(TOURNAMENT FEES)
- Tournament Fees: $105 per tournament, per player.
- League Play/Scrimmage Games/Intra-Squad Games: Average of $35 per game (covers field costs, umpires, and coaches).
Season Information
Our program operates year-round, with players participating throughout the year. Internally, we divide our schedule into two distinct seasons:
- Summer/Fall Season: June through December.
- Winter/Spring Season: January through May.
Travel baseball age groups transition annually on August 1st. To prepare for this transition, we form teams during the Spring season, ensuring readiness for the new age group by the Summer’s end as we head into Fall Baseball.
